Typhoon Test Hub

The following requirements are for running an instance of Typhoon Test Hub software.

Operating System

An instance of Typhoon Test Hub software must be run on 64-bit version of Debian 12 (bookworm) Linux distribution.

The same OS is required if you are running Typhoon Test Hub in the cloud.

Setup

To install a Typhoon Test Hub server, Docker must be installed. To run Officer on the same machine, Python 3.11 must be installed.

License

With a Typhoon Test Hub license, the default maximum number of simultaneously running agents is 5. It is recommended to have one Agent per Setup to avoid a test waiting for an Agent when its Setup is available.

Network

The Typhoon Test Hub IP address should not change. Changing the Hub IP will break the link with all connected Computers and Agents.

The Computer IP address also should not change.

Officer

The following requirements are for running an instance of Officer on a Windows computer.

Windows user

Create a Windows user with a password and administrative rights on the computer where the Officer will be running. User account requires administrator permissions because setup procedure entails being executed in terminal (Command Prompt) with administrator perimissions (Run as administrator option selected).

In order to upload Reports, a permissioned user needs to first install the typhoon-uploader plugin, which can be found in the dist package.
