Capture and scope mutual functions
Description of the shared functions between the Capture and Scope tools in the Capture/Scope widget in HIL SCADA
The Capture/Scope widget has three parts (Figure 1):
- Toolbar – there are options for signals, trigger and measurements, and presets (number 1 in Figure 1)
- Subplots (number 2 in Figure 1)
- Plotting options – these are options that are used for the subplot (number 3 in Figure 1)

Capture and Scope have several mutual functions and settings:
Signals - opens the Signal window (Figure 2 and Figure 2)
State - changes the widget state from Scope to Capture and vice versa
Import settings - imports compatible settings from Capture into Scope (e.g. channel list, channel assignment, trigger type, trigger source) and vice versa
Trigger settings - opens the trigger settings pane (Figure 5 and Figure 5) where the trigger type, source, edge, threshold, and offset can be specified.

Show/hide legend - shows or hides the legend with signal names
Invert background color - inverts the background plot surface colors
Layout of subplots - change the layout of subplots (available layouts are Grid and Vertical)
Presets - a convenient way to switch between widget settings (Capture and Scope presets)
Trigger indicator - indicates that trigger has been occurred.
