Overview of the purpose and connectivity of the HIL Electric Vehicle Charging Interface
HIL Electric Vehicle Charging Interface overview
The HIL Electric Vehicle Charging Interface constitutes two devices: a C-HIL (Controller Hardware in the Loop) device and a P-HIL (Power Hardware in the Loop) device (Figure 1), designed to work with Typhoon HIL simulator devices. The interfaces occupy a total of 8U within standard 19" rack mount enclosures, and directly supports testing for ISO 15118 compatible charging applications.
The interface features:
- Internal C14 connector power supply for supporting the interface solution (C-HIL interface)
- DIN 41612 connectors for interfacing Analog and Digital I/Os with the HIL Simulator device
- CAN interface (P-HIL interface)
- Ethernet connector for Power line communication (PLC) (C-HIL interface)
- Phoenix connector for direct PE, CP, and PP signal access (P-HIL interface)
- Pheonix connector CCS Type 2 / Combo (P-HIL interface)
