Detailed description of the connectivity and functionality of the HIL Regatron Interface Device

Connectivity and Functionality

The HIL Regatron Interface Device connects to the DIN connectors located on Typhoon HIL simulator devices. The device is exclusively powered through the HIL device through the User Power channel, with no need for an additional power source. It is designed for continuous operation use in a laboratory.

The HIL Regatron Interface Device acts as a protocol bridge and analog interface, enabling real-time control and signal exchange between the two systems. It supports two communication methods:
  • Digital communication, using Regatron's protocol via a DB-25 (D-Sub 25) connector
  • Analog communication using BNC connectors for signal input/output
