Overview
Overview of the purpose of the 1 kV Isolated Power Supply Unit.

The 1 kV Isolated Power Supply Unit device is specifically engineered to provide a secure, stable, and precise power source for laboratory testing applications, particularly for Battery Management Systems (BMS) high-voltage measurement inputs. The 1 kV Isolated Power Supply ensures precise voltage regulation while maintaining Galvanical Isolation, thereby preventing interference with the device under test and ensuring the integrity of the testing process without triggering the BMS Isolation Monitoring circuit.
The power supply can provide an output voltage of up to ±1 kV, with the output current limited to a maximum of 10 mA. This current limitation is a critical safety feature, effectively preventing the possibility of electrical shock hazards and safeguarding both the operator and sensitive test equipment. At same time this level of output current is more than enough to stimulate high impedance measurement inputs.
Control of the output voltage can be achieved in three ways: manually, through CAN interface, or by providing an external analog reference signal. The output voltage setpoint, mode of operation and output status are visible on front LCD display. The high slew rate achieved with linear topology prevents time related faults when testing features that are critical (pre-charge time, contactor closing time, etc.).
While primarily intended for BMS testing, this power supply is also applicable in a wide range of high voltage testing scenarios, such as power electronics, sensor testing, grid applications, etc.
