This tutorial demonstrates how to use the ISO 15118-20 smart charging simulation for bidirectional power transfer and CHAdeMO EV component, with updates available from the 2024.1 software release of Typhoon HIL Control Center.
ISO 15118-20 enables bidirectional power transfer and security in electric vehicles (EVs), empowering functionalities like Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G). This capability allows EVs not only to charge from the grid, but also to discharge stored energy back into it, fostering grid stability and facilitating innovative energy management solutions. CHAdeMO is a fast-charging protocol widely used in electric vehicles. The Typhoon HIL software now includes a dedicated component for the ISO 15118-20 EVCC and CHAdeMO EVCC, expanding your testing capabilities for various charging scenarios.
