This demo focuses on the use case of a battery pack connected to a simple Battery Management System (BMS). Both are included in the model, making it a “Model in the loop” approach, which is often one of the first and most important steps in developing a functional BMS. In this video, we validate the functional safety, cell balancing, and measurements of the BMS inside the model by disturbing the normal operating conditions of the battery cells in the SCADA panel.

In Typhoon HIL Control Center, you can try out BMS testing yourself with the Battery Management System example model, available in the Examples Explorer.
