Hello Typhoon HIL Team,

I have a question regarding the compatibility of a legacy interface board with a newer HIL device.

I currently own a Typhoon HIL 604 device. In our lab, we also found two older interface board, the Typhoon HIL 3-DSP uGrid DSP Interface 2.1 and one single DSP Interface .

From the documentation I've found online, the uGrid DSP Interface is frequently mentioned alongside the Typhoon HIL 602 and 404 device. This has led to some uncertainty about whether it is safe and functionally compatible to connect this specific interface board to our HIL 604.

Could you please clarify:

  1. Are the 3-DSP uGrid DSP Interface 2.1 and one single DSP Interface ophysically and electrically compatible with the Typhoon HIL 604?

  2. If they are compatible, are any specific firmware updates, jumper settings, or configuration steps required on the HIL 604 or the interface board itself for proper operation?

  3. If they are not compatible, what are the risks (e.g., potential for damage), and what would be the recommended interface solution for the HIL 604 for similar applications?

Any guidance or pointers to relevant documentation would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,

Hello,

Both interface boards are compatible with HIL604. There are no any specific configuration steps required to use them with HIL604 device - just make sure the controller(s) are properly powered and programmed.
